Location: Northern New Jersey | 100% Onsite
We're partnering with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer seeking a Materials Manager to oversee planning and procurement operations while leading a team of buyers and planners through a major ERP transformation initiative.
What You'll Own
- Lead all materials management activities including planning, purchasing, forecasting, scheduling, and inventory control
- Manage and develop a team of 4 direct reports
- Drive demand planning, forecasting, and master scheduling processes
- Develop and execute inventory strategies to support customer demand and manufacturing operations
- Manage material flow across a complex aerospace and defense manufacturing environment
- Oversee ERP/MRP execution, data integrity, and planning accuracy
- Play a key leadership role in a major ERP upgrade and optimization initiative
- Manage and maintain multi-level Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership
- Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels, purchasing effectiveness, and planning metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency
- Drive material availability while balancing inventory investment and production requirements
What We're Looking For
- US Citizenship required
- Aerospace or Defense industry experience required
- Experience leading both planning and purchasing functions within a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience managing buyers, planners, or materials teams
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and materials planning processes

Compensation & Schedule
- Base Salary: $150,000 - $155,000
- 100% Onsite, Monday through Friday
- Historically strong year-end bonus opportunities
