DSJ Global is currently partnered with a large manufacturing company who is looking to a Plant Manager to their team in Georgia. This individual will be responsible for overall plant leadership, driving continuous improvement and safety practices in the plant.
Plant Manager Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of facility operations-from raw material intake to the shipment of finished lumber-ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Achieve and exceed targets for production scheduling, inventory management, throughput, fiber recovery, and overall financial performance.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility while ensuring full compliance with company policies and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of Principled Entrepreneurs committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and long-term value creation.
- Maintain strong, productive relationships with internal partners across procurement, sales, finance, HR, and other support functions to align on goals and drive results.
- Ensure alignment with the broader business strategy by communicating clear goals, setting high performance standards, and fostering accountability at all levels.
- Actively interface with team members throughout the organization to encourage transparency, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Plant Manager Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience with large capital projects
- Experience implementing Continuous Improvement and lean tools to drive improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
- Experience coaching and enforcing safety
