Senior Product Engineer
Role
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of mechanical products and systems. This individual serves as a technical leader responsible for transforming product concepts into manufacturable solutions while ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, performance, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, testing, and validation of new and existing products.
- Develop prototypes, perform testing, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
- Create and maintain product specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Conduct DFMEA and DFM activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Utilize CAD, CAE, and FEA tools to support product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Master's degree preferred
- 12+ years of engineering experience
- Experience leading engineering projects and teams
- Proficiency with CAD, CAE, and FEA tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong GD&T and tolerance analysis expertise
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing
