The Opportunity
Our client is a leading international contract logistics specialist, designing and operating dedicated supply chain solutions for major customers across retail, e-commerce, FMCG, industrial and consumer sectors.
As the business continues to grow in France, they are looking for a Senior Solution Design Engineer to develop innovative, scalable and commercially competitive warehouse solutions for new and existing customers.
The Role
You will take ownership of the technical design of complex contract logistics and warehousing solutions, supporting major customer tenders from initial data analysis and concept development through to costing and implementation.
Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Engineering and Automation teams, you will turn customer requirements into practical and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design complex warehouse and distribution solutions.
- Develop layouts, process flows, capacity models and resource plans.
- Analyse SKU profiles, volumes, order data and operational flows.
- Build labour, productivity, CAPEX and OPEX models.
- Support major RFI, RFQ and RFP processes.
- Evaluate automation, robotics and MHE solutions.
- Optimise storage, picking, fulfilment and material flows.
- Present technical concepts and solutions to customers.
- Support implementation and operational handover.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in Solution Design, Logistics Engineering or Supply Chain Engineering.
- Strong background within 3PL / contract logistics.
- Proven experience designing warehouse and distribution centre solutions.
- Strong knowledge of layouts, process design, capacity and labour modelling.
- Experience supporting complex customer tenders and new business opportunities.
- Knowledge of automation, MHE and WMS environments.
- Strong analytical and Excel capabilities.
- CAD / warehouse design software experience advantageous.
- Commercially minded with strong customer-facing skills.
- Fluent French with strong professional English.
