Position Summary

A growing distribution and logistics operation is seeking a Supervisor to lead daily warehouse activities, oversee team performance, and ensure the efficient flow of inbound and outbound shipments. This role is responsible for managing warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting safety initiatives, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead warehouse associates in daily operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Coordinate and prioritize order fulfillment activities, including customer orders, inventory transfers, and returns.
  • Develop and manage schedules to ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure inventory is accurately picked, staged, and loaded while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet shipping, receiving, and customer service objectives.
  • Develop process plans for incoming inventory, including labor, equipment, and space utilization.
  • Monitor workflow and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues while providing support to warehouse personnel.
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors and managers to ensure operational alignment.
  • Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
  • Support inventory control processes and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
