Campus Relations Specialist
Our client is seeking a Campus Relations Specialist to lead efforts in building relationships with academic institutions and attracting top student and early-career talent. This role is responsible for enhancing campus outreach, managing events, and developing initiatives that strengthen our presence with colleges and universities. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for connecting with emerging professionals.
This role is on-site 4 days a week in Birmingham, AL. You may be required to travel up to 50% during peak recruitment months.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and recommend new academic partnerships to support long-term talent acquisition goals and enhance brand visibility on campuses.
Collaborate with internal teams to create effective marketing materials and outreach strategies tailored to student audiences.
Source, engage, and assess students and recent graduates for internship and entry-level opportunities.
Plan, coordinate, and attend on-campus events such as career fairs, info sessions, and networking events to promote opportunities and build relationships.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for campus-based hires, including screening and interviewing candidates.
Monitor the effectiveness of campus programs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Utilize digital tools and social media platforms to engage students and communicate the organization's value proposition.
Track and report on campus engagement activities, event outcomes, and hiring metrics.
Ensure all campus recruitment efforts align with organizational policies and compliance standards.
Travel to campuses and events as required (up to 50%).
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in campus recruiting, university relations, or early-career talent acquisition.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections with students, faculty, and internal stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using recruitment platforms, social media, and digital communication tools.
Solid understanding of trends in campus recruitment and employer branding.
Creative problem solver with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Willingness to travel frequently for recruitment and relationship-building events.
