Associate Director of Sales
We're supporting a global energy solutions manufacturer on their search for a senior commercial leader to drive growth across the Americas energy storage market. This role will focus on expanding regional market presence, building strategic customer and channel relationships, and leading complex commercial engagements. The position plays a key role in accelerating adoption of large-scale energy storage solutions while supporting long-term revenue and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional market expansion initiatives for energy storage solutions across North and South America
- Identify, assess, and track market opportunities through customer engagement, industry events, and competitive intelligence
- Build and manage relationships with strategic customers, partners, and distribution channels
- Drive annual revenue, margin, and market penetration goals aligned with company growth objectives
- Own end-to-end commercial discussions, including pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure
- Monitor customer performance metrics including policy compliance, payment cycles, and risk exposure
- Provide regular insights on market conditions and competitive activity to senior leadership
- Support client lifecycle management, ensuring strong post‑sale engagement and long-term partnerships
- Partner cross-functionally and contribute to the development and performance of regional sales team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher; background in engineering, business, marketing, or a related discipline strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in renewable energy or energy storage sales, ideally with large-scale or utility-level systems
- Demonstrated success in developing international or cross-border markets, including familiarity with import/export processes
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex negotiations and close high-value deals
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving market environments and managing multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Culturally adept and capable of engaging confidently with clients, partners, and executives
