Demand Planner
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our client's Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and ensuring product availability while minimizing excess inventory. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align forecasts with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term demand forecasts using statistical models and business insights.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to gather input and align on forecast assumptions.
- Support the monthly S&OP process by preparing forecast reports and highlighting key variances.
- Monitor forecast performance and recommend adjustments to improve accuracy.
- Assist in inventory planning and replenishment strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Maintain planning data in ERP and forecasting systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and forecasting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and planning software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
