Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
A growing, globally distributed medical technology and advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Global Demand Planning Lead to strengthen its end-to-end planning capability.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on elevating demand planning maturity, aligning regional inputs, and driving better cross-functional decision-making across a complex global business.
Role Overview
- Own and drive the global demand planning process, consolidating inputs from regional teams into a single, aligned plan
- Act as the key integrator across Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial to ensure alignment on key assumptions, risks, and opportunities
- Translate forecast outputs into clear, executive-level insights and narratives to support business decision-making
- Lead the demand side of the S&OP / IBP cycle, including demand reviews and executive-level reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate monthly demand planning and S&OP forums, driving alignment across regions and functions
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical inputs, market trends, and business intelligence
- Own key planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, bias, and performance tracking
- Identify and communicate risks, gaps, and opportunities, supporting scenario planning and trade-off analysis
- Partner closely with regional demand planners to ensure consistency in inputs and assumptions
- Collaborate with Supply Planning, Operations, and Finance to align demand signals with inventory and production strategies
- Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, tools, and data quality
- Support development of analytics and reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards and demand visibility tools)
Target Experience
- ~7+ years of experience in demand planning, S&OP, or supply chain planning
- Strong understanding of S&OP / IBP processes and cross-functional alignment
- Experience working across global or multi-regional planning environments
- Ability to translate data into clear business insights and narratives
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority
- Analytical mindset with experience leveraging forecasting tools and data models
Tools & Environment
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP preferred)
- Exposure to advanced planning tools (e.g., IBP, o9, Anaplan, or similar)
- Strong capability in data visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent)
