Director of Continuous Improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's Continuous Improvement strategy aligned with business goals and operational priorities.
- Lead complex CI initiatives across manufacturing, warehousing, and support functions to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize labor and material usage.
- Coach and mentor cross‑functional teams in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root‑cause analysis methodologies.
- Drive standardization and best-practice adoption across all facilities.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of CI efforts; report results to senior leadership.
- Lead cost‑saving initiatives and support operational budgeting and capital planning.
- Partner with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure improvements comply with USDA, FDA, and industry safety standards.
- Facilitate training programs to develop a strong culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Champion digital transformation opportunities within production and operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field).
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years focused on Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
- Experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience managing multi-site initiatives is highly desirable.
