Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Location: Aachen
This is a key role where you will design and customise electrical systems for cutting machines, ensuring they meet customer-specific requirements and comply with industry standards. You will work closely with colleagues in mechanical design, production, and external suppliers to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions. The position offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects in a well-established company known for precision engineering and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for machines and equipment.
- Create detailed electrical schematics and technical documentation using EPLAN.
- Adapt and modify base designs to meet individual customer specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth implementation and compliance with standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in machine control systems.
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning when required.
- Ensure designs meet safety regulations and quality requirements.
Profile:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or completed vocational training with relevant experience.
- Practical experience in electrical design.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, frequency and servo drives.
- Experience with EPLAN is highly desirable.
- Mechanical engineering knowledge is an advantage.
- Good German language skills for effective communication.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally.
- Ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
