The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance & CAPEX Engineer to join a key manufacturing site in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is a hands-on, on-site role suited to someone who is technically strong, forward-thinking, and eager to make an impact in a growing business.
You will play a critical role in ensuring asset reliability, delivering CAPEX projects, and supporting site-wide performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Reliability
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and OEE
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for breakdowns
- Collaborate with production teams to optimise maintenance planning and execution
- Support digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes
CAPEX / Projects
- Manage end-to-end capital projects, from concept through to commissioning
- Prepare business cases, budgets, and technical specifications for investments
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external vendors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards
- Support site expansion, upgrades, and modernisation initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
- Proven experience in maintenance and/or CAPEX/project engineering roles
- Background in one or more of the following industries preferred:
- Food & Beverage
- Chemicals
- Pharmaceuticals
- FMCG
- Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment, automation, and production processes
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and good English communication skills
