Operations Superintendent

Job Summary:
The Operations Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production of chemical products. This role provides leadership to operations teams, drives performance improvements, and ensures adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production activities and ensure alignment with production schedules and targets.
  • Lead and develop shift supervisors and operations personnel to maintain high performance and safety standards.
  • Monitor process performance and implement improvements to optimize throughput, yield, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and internal safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Support capital projects, process upgrades, and new product introductions.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to reporting and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical or process manufacturing, with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processing operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with process control systems and production planning tools.
