Plant Director

Position Overview

DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading manufacturing company looking to at a Plant Director to their team. The Plant Director is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing all aspects of plant operations. This role ensures production objectives are met at the lowest possible cost while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for a large-scale plant running multiple shifts and employing a mix of salaried and hourly staff.
• Align all departments toward shared goals in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Manage and meet plant operating budgets, including material and labor variances, maintenance costs, and operating supplies.
• Drive performance across manufacturing, tooling, and maintenance KPIs such as injury rates, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, warranty claims, scrap/rework, and preventive maintenance compliance.
• Implement and sustain 5S practices, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Coordinate proactively with purchasing, planning, logistics, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and support new product launches and capital projects.
• Enforce company policies, maintain discipline, and foster employee engagement, retention, and morale.
• Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering results and driving operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles.
• Exceptional communication skills
