Join a dynamic team driving innovation in automated food production. As a PLC Controls Engineer, you'll lead key initiatives in maintaining and optimizing plant automation systems, supporting efficiency and technological advancement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair PLC systems, focusing on Rockwell Allen Bradley.
Program and update PLCs to improve performance and reliability.
Collaborate with vendors, IT, production, and maintenance teams to design and implement control systems.
Modernize legacy systems and integrate new automation technologies.
Develop diagnostics and alarms to increase uptime and simplify troubleshooting.
Manage system access, data protocols, backups, and recovery processes.
Coordinate with IT on networking technologies such as Ethernet/IP, RS-232, RS-485.
Maintain and adhere to safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout, CPR, and Confined Space Entry.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering.
3+ years of experience in designing and troubleshooting automation systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD, instrumentation signals, wiring diagrams, and VFDs.
SCADA experience is a plus.
