This role is responsible for driving operational excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes within a fast‑paced production environment. The Process Engineer serves as a technical resource across operations, engineering, and quality, contributing to higher equipment reliability, stronger product performance, and efficient introduction of new technologies and products. The position combines hands‑on problem solving with data‑driven analysis to ensure processes are safe, stable, and consistently capable of meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, refine, and implement manufacturing processes that improve operational efficiency, minimize waste, and uphold strict product‑quality requirements. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured continuous‑improvement methodologies to drive sustained performance gains.
- Monitor equipment behavior and optimize run conditions by supporting system design, layout evaluation, troubleshooting activities, and detailed root‑cause investigations.
- Lead and support launch activities for new equipment and products, including planning and conducting production trials, establishing measurable success criteria, and analyzing trial data to guide improvements.
- Ensure all processes comply with internal and external safety, environmental, and product‑safety standards. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing corrective actions, and maintaining strong adherence to GMP, HACCP, and related regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to resolve complex technical issues, communicate findings clearly, and deliver recommendations that support informed decision‑making.
- Provide training and technical coaching to production personnel on new procedures, equipment, and process controls, while reinforcing a culture centered on continuous improvement and operational safety.
- Perform additional duties aligned with organizational priorities and evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, root‑cause analysis, and quality‑management tools in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, solve problems systematically, and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 2D CAD tools (such as DraftSight or AutoCAD); experience with 3D CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and document processes clearly and accurately.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently within a rapidly moving production environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience in process engineering, quality engineering, or manufacturing operations; experience working with converting or printing technologies is a plus.
