Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will be ensuring compliance with internal policies, FDA regulations, and third‑party certification standards across suppliers, co‑packers, co‑manufacturers, and 3PL partners. This role works closely with site Quality teams to standardize supplier management, auditing practices, and incoming material processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage third‑party partner approval processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Partner with local Quality teams to assess supplier risk and conduct audits based on standardized criteria.
  • Track supplier performance, support issue resolution, and drive corrective actions using root‑cause tools.
  • Maintain approved supplier lists and support annual audit planning across North America.
  • Standardize incoming material quality processes (testing, COA verification, frequency requirements).
  • Develop and maintain Quality Files for co‑packers and co‑manufacturers with proper version control.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to align on quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (STEM preferred).
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience (food industry preferred).
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, FDA regulations, and FSSC22000.
  • Auditor certification or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with problem‑solving tools (5 Why, fishbone, RCA).
