Quality Supervisor

A well-established food manufacturer with a portfolio of highly recognized consumer products is seeking a Quality Supervisor to join its leadership team. This role will oversee food safety and quality programs during the 2nd or 3rd shift operation, partnering closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure products are manufactured safely, consistently, and in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Quality Technicians and other quality team members during assigned shift.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and all applicable food safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor production activities and verify adherence to product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, consumer complaints, and food safety concerns.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action programs through root cause analysis.
  • Conduct quality audits, inspections, and verification activities throughout the facility.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while maintaining audit readiness.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to strengthen food safety and quality culture.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of quality or food safety experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, FSMA, and FDA regulations.
  • Experience conducting investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and making real-time quality decisions.
