Sales Executive:
Location: Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey
Reports to: District Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Account Executive is a front‑line, field‑based sales role responsible for opening new restaurant accounts, expanding existing business, and capturing market share in a highly competitive foodservice landscape.
This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives on prospecting, competition, and face‑to‑face selling within the restaurant industry.
What You'll Do
- Prospect daily to open new restaurant accounts, including both independents and regional chains
- Build a strong territory through cold calls, drop‑ins, referrals, and consistent follow‑up
- Drive sales growth through menu placement, product penetration, and ongoing account maintenance
- Meet or exceed weekly activity targets and sales KPIs (new business, penetration, retention)
- Manage your route with urgency-own your schedule, goals, and performance
- Develop strong relationships with chefs, owners, and restaurant management teams
- Compete in a crowded market and win through superior service, product offering, and execution
- Share market insights, competitive intel, and opportunities with leadership
What You Bring to the Table
- Restaurant experience (FOH, BOH, management, or foodservice sales)
- Demonstrated street‑sales or "hunter" mentality
- Comfort with cold calling and overcoming rejection
- Competitive, self‑motivated, and accountable work style
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities
- Organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage a fast‑moving territory
- Valid driver's license; daily local travel required
Nice to Have
- Previous foodservice or distribution sales experience
- CRM experience and general tech proficiency
- College degree or equivalent real‑world experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending
- Extensive local travel
