Sanitation Supervisor - Night Shift

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the dairy space to hire a Sanitation Supervisor. This Supervisor is going to lead and manage sanitation operations during the night shift (10pm - 7am) at a dairy manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance across all production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enforce sanitation programs in compliance with federal, state, and internal standards.
  • Supervise cleaning and sanitation of equipment and workspaces according to COP/CIP/SIP protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant premises and equipment to identify and correct unsanitary conditions.
  • Maintain and update the master sanitation schedule.
  • Monitor and document HACCP and GMP compliance.
  • Manage pest control activities and ensure effectiveness.
  • Lead the Environmental Monitoring Program, including swabbing, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production teams to align sanitation schedules with operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate sanitation and pest control records for audit readiness.
  • Develop and implement sanitation-related SOPs.
  • Train and mentor sanitation staff on food safety, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.
  • Collaborate with chemical suppliers to ensure proper use of cleaning agents.
  • Support FSMA initiatives and participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sanitation or quality assurance in a food production setting.
  • Direct experience in equipment cleaning and sanitization processes is a must! (COP/CIP/SIP)
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
