💰 $140,000-$170,000 Base + Bonus
We're partnering with a global technology manufacturer seeking a Senior Procurement Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for battery cells and battery packs supporting critical electronic products.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role with ownership of a growing spend portfolio currently valued at approximately $50M, expected to exceed $100M over time. The position requires strong commercial, technical, and stakeholder management capabilities, with regular interaction across engineering, product development, supply chain, and executive leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies for battery cells and battery packs
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management initiatives
- Negotiate commercial agreements, long-term contracts, and strategic supplier partnerships
- Drive cost savings, supply continuity, and risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor market trends, technology developments, and supplier capacity constraints
- Partner with engineering and product teams to support new product development and launch activities
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on quality, delivery, cost, and supplier capability improvements
- Manage executive-level stakeholder relationships and influence sourcing decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years of supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related business experience
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management background
- Experience managing complex sourcing initiatives and large spend portfolios
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
