Senior Project Manager - OEM - GBA
A leading OEM/ODM manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead customer programs from concept through mass production. This role is ideal for a commercially minded project leader who can drive cross-functional execution, manage customer relationships, and ensure successful new product introductions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer projects from Proof-of-Concept, NPI through to mass production and post-launch sustaining activities.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, including NRE, tooling investment, product costing, and commercial proposals.
- Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Follow up on purchase orders, billing status, and payment collection activities.
- Manage material authorization requests, engineering changes, and spot-buy requirements based on project schedules and supply conditions.
- Generate purchase requisitions for tooling and materials to support NPI and initial production ramp-up.
- Provide customers with regular project updates, including tooling progress, material readiness, and production status.
- Drive issue resolution related to supply, quality, manufacturing, and engineering challenges.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to balance customer expectations and business objectives.
- Mentor and coach junior project engineers and project management team members.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, OEM/ODM Manufacturing, or Product Engineering.
- Proven experience managing international customers within industrial electronics.
- Strong understanding of electronic product manufacturing processes and NPI methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in quotation preparation, product costing, change management, and ERP systems.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience handling customer negotiations and project financials.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese skills, both written and spoken.
