About the Role

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations will lead all site‑level supply chain functions, including procurement, production planning, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management. This role is critical in ensuring efficient resource utilization, meeting customer delivery expectations, and driving optimal inventory and cash‑flow performance in a cGMP manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Production Planning Leadership

  • Develop strategic production plans in collaboration with Regional Planners, aligning with monthly S&OP processes.
  • Lead teams responsible for production, inventory, and material planning.
  • Consolidate and manage the plant's Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet forecasted and market demand.
  • Oversee vendor‑managed inventory (VMI) programs.

Capacity, Inventory & Material Management

  • Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for tools, machines, labor, and materials.
  • Partner with Strategic Supply Planning to optimize raw material sourcing, inventory levels, transportation cost, and cash flow.
  • Drive strategy for slow‑moving and obsolete inventory.

Operational & Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Oversee customer order cycle management and communication between plants, corporate teams, and customers.
  • Monitor and enhance manufacturing lead times and delivery performance.
  • Support production transfers and ensure ERP/MES data integrity.
  • Contribute to Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain team, ensuring effective succession planning and skill development.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business (required).
  • MBA (preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years of senior operational management in pharmaceutical, medical device, or plastics injection manufacturing.
  • Experience in cGMP environments.
  • Strong track record in lean manufacturing, cost savings, and continuous improvement programs.
