Are you an entrepreneurial and experienced Business Development Manager within Air and Ocean logistics? DSJ Global is supporting an international logistics service provider in the Netherlands in their search for a driven commercial professional to strengthen their sales team.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you are responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts, both nationally and internationally. You act as a strategic sparring partner for customers and internal teams, playing a key role in collaboration between Operations, Sales and Business Research. You serve as the central point of contact for commercial matters relating to new business opportunities and contribute to the development of new products and services that support the organisation's growth.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a customer focused and results oriented Business Development Manager (HBO level) with:

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English
  • The desire to be a "hunter", on the road visiting clients
  • Demonstrated understanding of customs processes (import and export)
  • Insight into rate structures and how they are built
  • Knowledge of current market and pricing developments within airfreight/ocean-freight
  • Familiarity with commercial networking processes
  • An entrepreneurial, persistent and energetic mindset
  • Experience working with KPIs and commercial targets
