Business Unit Head
We have a current opportunity for a Business Unit Head on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Clearwater.
This role is centered on driving value creation through strategic initiatives such as value-based pricing, continuous cost improvement, and identifying profitable new business opportunities. The position requires strong market analysis capabilities and a focus on maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead efforts in value creation, including pricing strategies, cost optimization, and market opportunity identification
- Full P&L ownership and accountability
- Guide cross-functional teams-including sales, engineering, and manufacturing-to achieve business unit objectives
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including distributors, end users, and OEMs
- Effectively communicate product value and influence purchasing decisions; negotiate contractual agreements
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to secure profitable new business
- Represent the company at international meetings, trade shows, customer visits, and corporate events
- Travel requirement: approximately 25-30%, including international travel
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven ability to inspire and engage cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of value creation and business drivers
- Data-driven decision-making with sound business judgment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of personal and team accountability
- Effective interpersonal skills and transparent communication style
- Broad business acumen across technical sales, engineering, finance, and operations
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize for maximum impact
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Background in aerospace or industrial sectors preferred
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable results
- Must be eligible to work with ITAR-regulated products and data
