The Role

We are looking for a highly driven Country Sales Manager to lead new business development across Italy, with a clear focus on hunting and winning new clients in air and ocean freight.

This is a strategic, front-line commercial role for a sales leader who thrives on building pipelines, opening doors, and converting opportunities into long-term revenue. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence in the Italian market.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • Identify, target, and secure new customers across key verticals (manufacturing, automotive, retail, industrial, fashion, etc.)
  • Develop and execute a robust national sales strategy focused on net new revenue growth
  • Build and manage a strong, sustainable sales pipeline

Commercial Leadership

  • Lead from the front in client acquisition and key deal negotiations
  • Position tailored air and ocean freight solutions to meet customer needs
  • Drive pricing strategy and value-based selling in collaboration with internal teams

Market Development

  • Strengthen the company's market presence across Italy
  • Leverage existing network and develop new relationships with key decision-makers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, product, and pricing teams to ensure competitive and effective solutions
  • Support onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transition to operational teams

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in freight forwarding sales, with strong experience in air and ocean freight
  • Demonstrated success in a hunter role, consistently winning new business
  • Strong network across the Italian logistics and customer landscape
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate independently while contributing to a broader international structure
  • Fluent in Italian and English
