We are hiring a driven Director of Sales to lead national expansion for a fast‑growing CPG brand in the pet category. This role is built for a true builder, someone who has taken a brand from early momentum to major scale and thrives in an entrepreneurial, high‑growth environment. This is a remote position with regular travel, and candidates must live within 30 minutes of a major U S airport.
About the Role
The Director of Sales will own the full strategy and execution for grocery and mass retail. You will lead distribution expansion, drive new retail partnerships, strengthen national account performance, and manage broker networks across key regions. This leader will shape how the brand scales, partnering closely with marketing, operations, and finance to deliver strong, sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own national revenue strategy for grocery and mass
- Expand distribution and secure new retail partnerships
- Lead buyer meetings, line reviews, and category pitches
- Manage regional brokers and enforce performance KPIs
- Develop trade spend strategy and promotional planning
- Collaborate across teams on forecasting and execution
- Build scalable sales processes, reporting, and team structure
Qualifications
- 10 plus years of CPG sales experience
- Track record scaling a brand from roughly 1 to 2 million to 50 million plus
- Strong experience breaking into grocery and or mass retail
- Direct broker management required
- Established retailer relationships preferred
- Strong understanding of trade spend and retail economics
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder mentality
