The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to lead a high-performing team of 19 professionals - 4 in Procurement and 15 in Supply Chain. This is a critical leadership role with a strong focus on developing the Procurement function while maintaining the maturity and efficiency of the existing Supply Chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead and develop the Procurement and Supply Chain teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Procurement Transformation: Build and mature the Procurement function, implementing strategic sourcing, supplier management, and robust procurement processes.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee a well-established Supply Chain operation, ensuring seamless logistics, inventory management, and service delivery.
- Global Negotiations: Manage complex international supplier negotiations and agreements, ensuring value creation, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to align procurement and supply chain strategies with broader business objectives.
- Performance Optimisation: Define and track KPIs, drive operational excellence, and implement best practices across the function.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Aviation Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry, ideally with experience in MRO, OEM, or airline operations.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse, international teams in a dynamic environment.
- Procurement Skills: Strong background in procurement development, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Negotiation Acumen: Demonstrated success in leading international negotiations and managing complex supplier agreements.
- Analytical & Strategic: Data-driven decision-maker with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term value creation.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English is required, German is a plus.
