Our client is a rapidly growing consumer goods business operating across the personal care, wellness and food & beverage sectors. As the company continues its ambitious expansion, they are seeking a Head of Supply Chain & Purchasing to take ownership of their end-to-end supply chain and build the foundations required for the next stage of growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role that will combine strategic direction with operational execution. You will be responsible for ensuring product availability, driving supply chain performance, optimising costs and working capital, and developing supplier partnerships that support long-term growth.

Leading a team of five, you will play a critical role in transforming supply chain and procurement into a genuine competitive advantage for the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain across forecasting, S&OP, procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, fulfilment and supplier management.

You will be tasked with building scalable processes, driving digitalisation and automation initiatives, improving ERP utilisation, and establishing data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded supply chain leader who has successfully professionalised and scaled operations within a fast-growing consumer goods environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end supply chain strategy and operations across forecasting, S&OP, purchasing, production planning, inventory management, logistics and fulfilment.
• Develop scalable processes that support continued growth while balancing service levels, inventory, costs, cash flow and customer experience.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI management, performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimise ERP utilisation, data quality and process discipline to improve decision making and visibility across the business.
• Transform procurement into a strategic value-creation function through supplier segmentation, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations and framework agreements.
• Implement multi-source procurement strategies to strengthen resilience and mitigate supply risk.
• Lead supply chain digitalisation and automation projects, leveraging modern technologies and AI-driven planning tools.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy and improve planning capabilities through data-driven methodologies.
• Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five supply chain professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance.

Your Experience

• Degree educated in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of supply chain leadership experience within consumer goods, personal care, beauty, food & beverage, FMCG, supplements, pharmaceuticals or e-commerce environments.
• Proven track record of building, scaling and professionalising supply chain functions within high-growth organisations.
• Strong expertise across end-to-end supply chain management, including S&OP, demand planning, inventory optimisation, logistics and supplier management.
• Significant experience with ERP systems and a deep understanding of how supply chain, production planning, procurement and inventory processes are managed through integrated systems.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and delivering measurable cost efficiencies.
• Experience leading and developing teams within fast-paced and evolving environments.
• Fluency in both German and English (C1 level or above).
