Job Description
An established industrial services company is seeking a licensed, safety-focused Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician for its Houston, TX location. This role involves performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, troubleshooting PLC Ladder Logic, and supporting general electrical and maintenance operations.
Candidates must hold a valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License or have the NCCER hours required to sit for the exam.

Key Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies and procedures; prioritize safe work practices
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on electrical/instrument systems
Maintain logs and documentation accurately
Install control systems, cabling, and power distribution equipment
Service motors, lighting systems, and related electrical infrastructure
Support general maintenance and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Texas Journeyman Electrician License or NCCER certification with required hours
Experience with PLC Ladder Logic troubleshooting/programming
Familiarity with VFD programming (preferred)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs
Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS)
Experience with systems rated at 480V and below
Capable of lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions
