Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager oversees and coordinates the work of maintenance staff and external contractors involved in the installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role includes fabricating parts and tools as needed and managing relationships with labor representatives and HR to support a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Lead a team responsible for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.
- Guide the installation, dismantling, and testing of industrial machinery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and response plans to enhance team efficiency.
- Recommend improvements to production processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Propose changes to working conditions and equipment usage to boost operational efficiency.
- Resolve work-related issues and support effective team problem-solving.
- Manage team performance using established evaluation tools and processes.
- Administer predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage departmental budgets, including labor, parts, and repair costs, and monitor financial performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience leading technical teams, with a strong record of coaching and development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and CAD software.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of facility equipment and maintenance operations.
- Experience with CMMS systems
