Position Overview: Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with production team members to identify and address equipment-related concerns.
  • Utilize SAP or similar systems to schedule and manage preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery.
  • Provide after-hours support to assist maintenance teams with urgent technical problems.
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of critical machine configurations and settings.
  • Analyze and resolve process inefficiencies by restoring equipment to original specifications.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Accurately document parts usage and assign costs to appropriate work orders and cost centers.
  • Investigate equipment failures to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with specific machinery relevant to the role.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Education & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer proficiency for managing work orders and inventory systems.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in environments with high temperatures and airborne particulates.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules based on operational needs.

Language Requirements:

  • While a multilingual environment is valued, English proficiency is preferred for effective communication and documentation.

Physical & Mobility Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, and operating lift equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of components up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and equipment.
  • Visual acuity required for detailed inspections and adjustments.
  • Exposure to mechanical hazards, varying temperatures, dust, and occasional chemical risks.
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift, with occasional call-ins and schedule adjustments based on maintenance demands.
