Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This position involves managing maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs and shutdowns, and driving safety and quality initiatives. The Maintenance Supervisor balances operational efficiency with team leadership to maintain a safe, reliable, and productive facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule millwrights, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely execution of daily maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.
Promote and enforce safety, health, food safety, and quality standards through training, audits, and the MOC process.
Lead major shutdown planning, act as a Mechanical Maintenance Planner, and manage improvement projects and contractor oversight.
Diagnose mechanical issues, implement solutions, and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred; alternatively, 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience with a trade background (millwright, electrician, etc.).
Knowledge of PM, PDM, CMMS, RCM, and TPM maintenance techniques; strong understanding of industrial safety and engineering practices.
Effective at motivating and coordinating teams, managing budgets, communicating clearly, and collaborating across departments.
