Operations Superintendent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven Operations Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day production activities within our chemical manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and product quality while supporting strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in chemical processes and proven experience managing frontline operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production operations to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
- Lead and mentor shift supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Monitor process performance and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to optimize plant reliability and efficiency.
- Support implementation of Lean manufacturing and other process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records and contribute to operational reporting and planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of chemical processing systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
