Packaging Specialist

Overview:
The Packaging Specialist is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of packaging processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining product integrity throughout the supply chain. This role focuses on optimizing packaging operations for efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet product specifications, regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP), and customer needs.
  • Manage packaging line operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure packaging processes align with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct validation and qualification of packaging equipment and processes.
  • Maintain documentation for packaging procedures, batch records, and compliance audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance sustainability.
  • Support investigations of packaging-related deviations and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and packaging validation requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills; experience with automated packaging equipment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
