Plant Controls Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Controls Engineer to join a leading Manufacturing organization we are currently partnered with. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), particularly Allen-Bradley systems. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley controllers.
- Develop and implement control strategies to optimize plant performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other plant operations.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all control system activities.
- Analyze and resolve control system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant controls engineering, with a strong emphasis on Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, including RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000.
- Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and their integration with PLCs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other PLC brands and control systems.
- Certification in Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
- Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols.
