Process Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading sustainable paper manufacturing organization who is looking to add a new Process Engineer to their growing team in Natchez, MS. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and quality. Key duties will include process mapping, process simulation, data analysis, risk assessment, equipment design/modification, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- System Design: Develop, configure, and upgrade industrial systems and equipment for new or modified processes.
- Data & Simulation: Use process simulations (e.g., HYSYS) and interpret plant/lab data to evaluate performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documents, process flow diagrams (P&IDs), and best practice guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work with production, quality control, and other engineering disciplines (like instrumentation).
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure processes meet safety standards and environmental regulations, creating safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in process engineer or similar role with direct experience in a paper or packaging manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in process simulation software, data analysis tools, and CAD software.
