Title: Procurement Operations Coordinator - 6 Month Contract

Location: Remote


Summary:

A fast‑growing, innovation‑driven organization is seeking a Procurement Operations Coordinator to support purchasing and supply chain activities across multiple business units. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys working cross‑functionally, managing supplier interactions, and supporting efficient purchasing operations in a dynamic environment. The position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the procurement lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day purchasing activities to support operational and business requirements.
  • Create, review, and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and procurement guidelines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage purchasing transactions, supplier data, and reporting.
  • Track purchase orders from issuance through receipt and payment, resolving discrepancies related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date supplier master data and support standardized vendor onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement procedures are followed
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics such as on‑time delivery and service levels; escalate issues when needed.
  • Analyze purchasing data and supplier spend trends to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency, process optimization, and KPI performance.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to reconcile purchase orders and invoices for assigned commodities.
  • Communicate proactively with management and cross‑functional teams regarding supply risks, procurement status, and performance indicators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting procurement or purchasing operations in a manufacturing, technical, or regulated environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with experience reviewing purchasing data and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract compliance preferred.
