Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that heavy machinery products meet internal and external quality standards. This position is responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and inspection protocols.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and testing of components and finished machinery.
- Investigate non-conformances and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support supplier quality management and incoming material inspections.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Participate in new product development and process validation activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in quality engineering within heavy machinery or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
