Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE)
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Field Applications Engineer is to proactively support power solution implementations across diverse market segments. This role involves strategic collaboration with internal business development and customer service teams, offering both pre- and post-sales technical support. Key tasks include assisting with product selection based on application requirements, providing guidance on installation from electrical, mechanical, and thermal perspectives, and troubleshooting customer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate technical concepts, power architectures, and product positioning to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships through:
- Direct engagement with customers.
- Collaboration with distribution and channel partners.
- Capture and analyze customer system requirements and serve as a liaison to internal engineering teams.
- Conduct schematic reviews and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Perform regular customer visits (30-50% travel required).
- Lead technical seminars and deliver product training to representatives and partners.
- Support hands-on product evaluations and generate application notes under management guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-7+ years of experience in analog/power supply design or applications engineering.
- Strong practical electronics skills.
- Solid understanding of analog design principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
