Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an excellent engineering team. This role involves leading the design and development of new products, enhancing existing systems, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including manufacturing, product management, and operations-to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative solutions.

The position requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design and problem-solving.

Job Requirements

  • Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems.
  • Apply engineering principles to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct design verification, troubleshooting, and peer reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution for engineering initiatives.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept through production.
  • Utilize CAD tools and PDM systems to manage designs and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 6+ years of engineering experience with proven success in product design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, structural analysis, materials selection, and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools.
  • Experience with manufacturing methods, assembly processes, and Design for X principles.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience strongly preferred
