Senior Supply Chain Manager
On behalf of a major international company producing specialty industrial machinery, we are recruiting for a Senior Supply Chain Manager
The role will be based in Shanghai, China and report at the VP-level
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and execute global and regional supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance, quality, and delivery excellence
- Oversee procurement operations, including contract negotiations, risk management, and cost control
- Optimize demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory strategies to ensure seamless fulfillment
- Oversee warehouse management teams
- Mentor and guide a team of supply chain professionals and build organizational capability
- Drive forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and demand-supply balancing using robust S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes, leading to higher service levels and lower working capital
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- 10+ years of managerial experience in supply chain roles, preferably in industrial machinery or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, analytics tools, and modern supply chain technologies
- Proven track record in cost optimization, vendor negotiation, and logistics optimization
- Demonstrated success in leading teams through organizational change, process transformation, and technology implementation projects
- Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to balance long-term strategic planning with operational execution under tight deadlines
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and navigating matrixed organizations
