Sr. Maintenance Supervisor

Position: Sr. Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and enhancement of maintenance programs to ensure consistent equipment performance and reliability.
  • Take a strategic, forward-thinking approach to minimize unplanned equipment downtime within assigned areas.
  • Track daily operational metrics and apply Pareto analysis to identify and resolve key sources of downtime.

Maintenance Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and refine preventive maintenance schedules to boost equipment uptime, meet compliance standards, and manage operational costs.
  • Ensure maintenance efforts align with safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of plant systems and maintenance procedures.

Team Collaboration & Technical Oversight:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Work closely with technicians and team leads to gather equipment-specific insights.
  • Define spare parts requirements, prepare training content for maintenance staff, and manage technical documentation within systems like SAP PM.

Data-Driven Improvements:

  • Use data from maintenance systems, documentation, and team feedback to evaluate and improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership for prioritizing resources and initiatives.

Vendor & Contract Support:

  • Assist in managing outsourced maintenance services by setting technical expectations, drafting service scopes, and monitoring performance metrics.

Performance Monitoring & Budget Management:

  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of maintenance plans and adjust them based on operational changes or performance gaps.
  • Ensure maintenance activities stay within budgeted limits for labor and materials.

Knowledge Sharing & Development:

  • Collaborate with peers across locations to share best practices and drive consistency.
  • Partner with technical experts and receive coaching from leadership to support professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.

Analytical Tools & Techniques:

  • Utilize structured problem-solving and reliability tools such as:
    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
    • Analytic Trouble Shooting (ATS)

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Head of Engineering and Maintenance Operations.
