Sr. Reliability Engineer

Overview

We are a global industrial organization with a long-standing track record of designing and manufacturing equipment used by widely recognized consumer-facing brands. Our work is driven by purpose-improving everyday experiences, supporting communities, and continually raising the bar on quality and reliability. We offer a collaborative environment, diverse learning opportunities, and a culture that empowers individuals to do their best work.

We are seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Reliability Engineering team. This role plays a key part in connecting real-world product performance with new product development, ensuring reliability targets are achieved and sustained from launch through lifecycle.

This position follows a hybrid work model, with structured in-office collaboration and flexibility for remote work on other days.

About the Role

Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, the Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for analyzing warranty, service, and other field data to understand product performance, customer usage patterns, and service/maintenance behaviors. These insights are used to:

  • Improve existing product reliability
  • Inform design decisions during new product development
  • Develop predictive reliability models
  • Focus engineering resources on the areas of greatest impact

This role serves as a critical bridge between field performance and engineering design, enabling improved reliability forecasting and measurable improvements at product launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new product development using Design for Reliability (DfR) methodologies
  • Develop and refine laboratory test procedures that accurately model or predict field performance
  • Perform root cause analysis on component and system failures occurring in the lab or in the field
  • Partner with cross-functional project teams to understand requirements and provide data-informed technical guidance
  • Author clear, concise test plans, procedures, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to enhance or build tools for analyzing field performance
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning approaches to identify reliability trends and patterns
  • Continuously improve data collection processes to support deeper and more accurate analysis
  • Proactively identify reliability improvement opportunities using a wide range of data sources, including:
    • Returned product analysis
    • Manufacturing and in-line production data
    • Instrumented field data
    • Service and warranty information
