Position Summary:
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic sourcing professional to lead the procurement of electro-mechanical components for our aerospace manufacturing operations. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality supply of critical components. This role requires deep knowledge of aerospace standards, electro-mechanical systems, and global supply chain dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electro-mechanical components (e.g., motors, actuators, sensors, wiring harnesses).
- Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and lead performance improvement initiatives.
- Mitigate supply risks through dual sourcing, inventory strategies, and supplier development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing strategies with product requirements.
- Support new product development by sourcing components that meet technical and regulatory standards.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, ITAR, etc.).
- Manage export control and regulatory requirements related to international sourcing.
Cost & Value Optimization
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Must have experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing, with a focus on electro-mechanical components.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with global sourcing and supplier development.
- Technical understanding of electro-mechanical systems and components.
- Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
