Business Development Manager - Pharma

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the Pharmaceutical vertical for one of our key clients, a global leader in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions. This is a pure hunter role - ideal for someone who thrives on winning new business and building strategic relationships in a highly regulated, fast-moving industry.

You will focus on cold acquisition, identifying and engaging new customers in the pharma sector, while also managing and developing existing accounts to maximise revenue. This position does not involve team management - it's all about your ability to deliver results and drive market penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting pharmaceutical companies across the Netherlands.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach and cold acquisition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the pharma supply chain.
  • Manage existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions that meet strict compliance and temperature-controlled requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the pharma logistics space.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in business development within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Strong hunter mentality - comfortable with cold calling and opening doors.
  • Knowledge of pharma logistics and GDP compliance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to work independently, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with ocean and air freight solutions is a plus.
