Position Title: Demand Planner
Location: Miami, FL - Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Overview
A fast-growing wholesale company is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to oversee forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier coordination across both e-commerce and retail channels. This hybrid role, based in Miami, requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Category Management, and Finance to ensure demand plans align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead demand forecasting for major retail and online platforms such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, and direct-to-consumer channels.
- Develop and manage Power BI dashboards to monitor forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supplier metrics.
- Align inventory forecasts with sales targets and budget expectations through cross-department collaboration.
- Proactively identify and address inventory risks, supply shortages, and overstock situations.
- Manage international shipping schedules, container tracking, and overseas delivery timelines.
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize pricing, lead times, and delivery performance.
- Review and approve purchase orders to ensure consistency with inventory strategies and budget constraints.
- Monitor inventory turnover, aging stock, and underperforming SKUs to drive actionable improvements.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and supply chain efficiency through accurate planning and vendor management.
- Support seasonal planning, product lifecycle transitions, and category updates.
- Collaborate with Finance to assess demand impact on financial performance and general ledger accuracy.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or forecasting, ideally within e-commerce or durable goods.
- Demonstrated success in supplier sourcing and negotiation, both domestically and internationally.
- Familiarity with major retail platforms such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, or Wayfair.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard creation and maintenance.
- Strong Excel capabilities, including building profitability and inventory tracking tools.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of inventory control, SKU optimization, and supply chain best practices.
- Proven ability to align demand planning with financial objectives.
- U.S. work experience required.
