Position Summary:
The Reliability/Wastewater Engineer is responsible for developing and managing maintenance reliability programs for key assets, utilities, and support systems, including a wastewater pre-treatment facility. The position aims to maximize equipment availability and efficiency while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The role requires collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Mechanical Integrity Program for all facility equipment.
Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Implement maintenance strategies for wastewater systems including pumps, aeration tanks, biological units, and instrumentation.
Design and manage capital projects in alignment with safety and environmental regulations.
Support operational excellence by reducing energy usage and optimizing spare parts inventory.
Ensure regulatory compliance related to environmental, safety, and health, including documentation for wastewater systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in production, maintenance, and reliability data analytics.
Support operations and troubleshooting of the wastewater facility in collaboration with EHS and operations teams.
Commission and validate system upgrades and draft associated Standard Work procedures.
Conduct root cause failure analyses and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Train personnel on reliability and wastewater system operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance/reliability engineering.
Knowledge of biological wastewater treatment systems preferred.
Experience in food-grade or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
Proficiency in condition monitoring techniques (vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, etc.).
Familiarity with rotating equipment, pumps, piping systems, and related infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects and lead maintenance programs.
At least 2 years of experience in reliability-centered maintenance, planning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with condition-based monitoring tools and methodologies.
