Technical Support Manager
Job Summary:
The Technical Support Manager leads a team responsible for providing expert technical assistance to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders within the chemical manufacturing space. This role ensures product performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction through troubleshooting, application support, and continuous improvement of technical service processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of technical support specialists and application engineers.
- Provide advanced technical guidance on product use, formulation, and troubleshooting to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality, and production departments to resolve product-related issues and support new product introductions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product data sheets, safety information, and application guidelines.
- Support sales and marketing efforts with technical presentations, training, and customer visits.
- Monitor customer feedback and field performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive product enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., REACH, TSCA, OSHA).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-10+ years of experience in technical support or product development within chemical manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Deep understanding of chemical formulations, applications, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with CRM and technical documentation systems.
