As a Solution Architect, you will serve as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the bridge between customers, project teams, and stakeholders. This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working on varied projects rather than supporting a single product or technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of complex customer projects from initial concept through to implementation.
- Engage with customers to understand requirements, challenges, and operational objectives.
- Develop solution concepts and system architectures that meet customer needs and project goals.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, work packages, budgets, and timelines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Support customer meetings, workshops, and technical discussions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify technical risks and develop pragmatic solutions to overcome project challenges.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed technical requirements, standards, and quality expectations.
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Systems Engineer, Technical Project Manager, Technical Lead, or similar position.
- Experience delivering complex technical projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong ability to understand complete systems rather than focusing on a single technology or component.
- Comfortable gathering requirements, defining solutions, and leading technical discussions with customers.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and manage technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and structured manner.
- Highly organised with strong documentation, planning, and problem-solving capability.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
